Software

Windows Live SkyDrive

Microsoft is now offering SkyDrive on their Live service. You initially get 5gb of space where you can store private, shared and public files. The catch here is, the files cannot be larger than 50mb. So while you can store lots of music and smaller files, you cannot store large software installs and videos. I was trying to store some VM ware installs at 125mb at couldn’t. Not a huge deal but it would have been nice. I wasn’t able to break the program up into smaller pieces like the old days with floppy disks.

There is a download that allows drag and dropping files directly into your SkyDrive. I haven’t tried this yet.
